
After hearing that fondant is yucky and you just peel it off and throw it away, I decided to make my own and skip the "ready made". I think I found a yummy one with this wonderful recipe from Peggy Weaver.

The recipe was easy to follow and the results were delicious. I made my first fondant covered cake and although not flawless it turned out pretty darn cute. It got rave reviews from the recipient and my Oreo filling (one I created on the spur of the moment) in between the layers was spectacular. I have since signed up for Wilton's fondant and gum paste and hope to learn some real technique.
